Between 2000 and 2006 I have been a graduate student at Professor Kenneth Jordan's group at the University of Pittsburgh. My research dealt with developing global optimization algorithms and using electronic structure theory to study silicon surfaces and organometallic reactions.
In 2004 and 2005 I have been working on a joint project with Professor Kay Brummond's group studying transition-metal catalyzed reactions.
In 1999 I spent a summer at the University of Pittsburgh developing a program for analysis of photoacoustic calorimetry signals for Professor Grabowski's group.
